Joined the core/platform team and among other things, I helped restructure the company's backend into an Event Driven Architecture
Worked on a backend team to replatform the adidas eCom platform using modern web technologies.
Developed Android applications, libraries and protocols to integrate phones with smart products. I also supported algorithm research by developing mobile apps with data tracking capabilities.
Worked on a wide range of software projects in partnership with Sony Mobile. These projects were mostly related to development of mobile apps and cloud services (APIs).
Integrated external RESTful services with the UP platform. Implemented component to fetch minimal weather information based on user-metrics from the UP platform.
Worked on the client Android app for Folding@Home. An app to help scientists use idle computational power of thousands of devices on research simulations that would take years to compute on regular computers. This project was developed in a partnership with Sony Mobile.
Finished masters program in Oct 2016 by presenting a dissertation on Infrastuctures for Internet of Things.
Worked on the server team, developing new features and maintaining their backend API and frontend server using technologies such as .NET, WebMVC, C#, SQL Server, HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript.
Participated on an ongoing project (sponsorship of AOC), where I developed some applications for SmartTV's using Lua. In March, I was switched to the Android team to develop an app for AOC Tablets.
Summer Internship with the focus on switching and enhancing the company's Search Server from Sphinx to Apache Solr. Researched and implemented features such as Geo-spatial and N-Dimensional Search, Complex Queries, Data Importing, Specific Filters, Tokenizers and Transformers. Technologies used: Python, MySQL, Mongodb, Java (Solr) and Memcache.
In May 2012 I became a CODE:2040 Fellow where I got connected (and interviewed) with some companies for a summer internship - yup! I got at Jawbone! During the summer, I participated in several workshops, talks, networking events and more, I also had three awesome mentors: Wences Casares , Matt Hunter and Kevin Weil! I owe them so much for their time and insights!
Selected student to participate in the innaugural class of the Science Without Borders program. Earned a full scholarship to study one year abroad at Stony Brook University.
Had first contact with SCRUM and other PMS tools. Worked with teams from 2 to 10 developers and designers. Participated in two projects: One with sponsorship of Signove, where we had to develop applications to Nokia's S60 smartphones. Another one with sponsorship of COMPAL(Compalead - Brazil) where we developed an Augmented Reality App on Android for the 2014 World Cup, I have worked on the 3D Rendering Team using OpenGL ES 1.1.
Graduated from UFCG in April 2014 having majored in Computer Sciences with a GPA of 8.1 out of 10.
